Since October 1960 the United States has enforced an embargo against
the people of Cuba as a means of attempting to create pressure to force political change in Cuba. Related policies essentially have ignored the individuality of all Cuban citizens.
This project was inspired by the following quote from Three Heroes
by Jose Marti: "In the world there must be a certain amount of honor and respect, just as there must be a certain
amount of light." Summarily, I traveled to every province in Cuba to capture images reflecting the dignity of the
Cuban people and to proffer they deserve to be treated with honor and respect, not as faceless pawns in an ideological struggle
between two nations. click on image to enlarge
